GHOSTCURVE · PRIVACY & DATA

Your sound,
on your device.

This notice covers ghostcurve.app and the current GhostCurve Android prototype. Effective November 4, 2026. The sections below distinguish website activity from features used inside the app.

Website and app: different data uses

This product website does not request microphone access or listen to your surroundings. Microphone measurements, audio-session detection and local live display are features of the Android app, not this website. GhostCurve is currently in development; there is no public purchase or download checkout on this site.

Android app: microphone measurements

GhostCurve requests microphone permission to analyze sound, capture references and compare measurements. The current prototype processes microphone audio on the phone. It does not save microphone audio recordings or upload them to a cloud service. Saved references contain spectral measurements and names you choose.

Local storage and control

References, EQ settings, preferences and recent diagnostic decisions are stored in the app’s private storage. You can delete saved references in the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes its private data. Exported files and copied reports remain wherever you save or share them.

Playback and optional diagnostics

The equalizer uses Android audio effects to adjust supported playback sessions. Optional advanced player detection uses separately granted diagnostic access to identify active audio sessions locally. Connection and matching diagnostics can include player, session, audio-route and adjustment information. Recent matching decisions are also written to Android’s system diagnostic logs. Review a diagnostic report before choosing to copy or share it.

When the microphone runs

The foreground EQ and Live Tune views can start measurement after microphone permission has been granted, according to your settings. Pause the meter or change this behavior in Settings. Leaving the app stops microphone measurement. Background playback EQ can continue without recording microphone audio.

Optional live display and exports

If you start the local live display, another device with its connection link and network access can view shared measurement information. The viewer is read-only and does not stream microphone audio. It uses local HTTP rather than encrypted HTTPS, so use a trusted local network, keep the link private and stop sharing when finished. Leaving the app also stops the live display.

The optional offline display connection uses Nearby Wi-Fi permission on Android 13 and later, or Location permission on Android 11–12, to create a local hotspot. GhostCurve does not use this feature to determine your geographic location.

Exported test signals are generated audio, not microphone recordings. External links you choose to open, including video links, are governed by the destination service’s policies.

Website hosting and third parties

This website does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or contact forms. The hosting infrastructure processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to serve and protect the site. Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm security cookie to help distinguish automated traffic from visitors. This is a hosting security measure, not an advertising analytics feature added by GhostCurve. The Android prototype does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Support correspondence and privacy requests

If you email support@ghostcurve.app, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, which may include your app version, phone model or diagnostic information. We use this information to answer inquiries, investigate problems and handle privacy requests. Support email is processed through Apple iCloud Mail. Website hosting and security providers process connection information to deliver and protect this website. Provider handling is also subject to their applicable terms and privacy notices.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the inquiry, follow up on related issues, maintain necessary business records or meet legal obligations. There is no fixed automatic deletion deadline. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of support information by emailing support@ghostcurve.app. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify the request. Applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs may limit deletion; provider backups may persist under provider retention practices. App-private data can be removed using the controls described above; we cannot remotely retrieve or delete files stored only on your phone or exports you have shared elsewhere.

Please do not send passwords, payment credentials, private audio recordings or information about other people that is unnecessary for your request.

Children

GhostCurve is an audio utility intended for teens and adults, not directed to children under 13. Please contact support@ghostcurve.app if you believe a child has sent personal information to us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.

Development and policy changes

Features and data handling may change before public release. We will publish revisions on this page and update its effective date. For material changes, we will add a prominent notice on this website and, where appropriate, within the app. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before the changed practices apply. GhostCurve is developed by Phantom49. For app support, privacy questions or data-handling inquiries, email support@ghostcurve.app. If you contact us, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your inquiry. Please do not send passwords or private audio recordings.
